New ROV for habitat and fish surveys

Updated: Apr 22, 2020

BUG recently expanded it’s remote sensing capability with the addition of a Blue Robotics BlueROV2 Remotely Operated Underwater Vehicle.

Designed for use in both salt and freshwater, the ROV is being used to assess reef structures, survey fish populations and inspect underwater infrastructure, amongst other things.

Equipped with an HD camera, grab arm and GPS, the BlueROV2 can quickly and accurately undertake underwater assessments down to a depth of 150 m.

Providing a live video feed and capturing HD video, as well as having a remotely operated grab arm makes this an invaluable tool for marine and freshwater habitat assessments.

If you would like to enquire as to how we can use the ROV in your situation, don’t hesitate to get in touch.
