As part of an two-year baseline ecology study in the stream, BUG was commissioned by South West Water to undertake fish, invertebrate, water quality and eDNA surveys, along with a habitat walkover survey throughout the entire length of the water body.

Although only a small (and fragmented) stream, a surprising number of fish were captured, comprising five species: stone loach, roach, minnow, eel and chub.
